Renal failure increases the risk of cardiovascular disease


Currently, all patients with end stage renal dialysis dependent, more patients die from cardiovascular disease than kidney disease. Compared to the general population, patients with kidney disease are two to three times more likely suffering from cardiovascular disease, such as angina pectoris, stroke, arrhythmia or heart failure. It is even surprising to know that the chances of heart disease increases 20 times for those on dialysis programs.

1. Hypertension:

Renin secretion is insufficient, causing water retention and sodium may cause high blood pressure and increase vascular lesions in the cardiovascular system.

2.La strain rate:

The excess fluid in the body are the strain in the heart and increase the risk of complications such as left ventricular hypertrophy and heart failure.

3. The rigid arteries:

A kidney can cause calcified arteries and heart valves, which are also major causes of cardiovascular disease.

4. Elevated blood fats:

Heart failure increases the risk of cholesterol of low density lipoproteins by disrupting hormone levels.

5. Blood clotting:

Blood coagulation, also known as the thrombosis may slow down the blood supply and increase the risk of cardiac arteriosclerosis and stroke.

The first signs of cardiovascular disease combined:

1. Shortness of breath, but did not accompany the cough or sputum. This may be a reflection of left ventricular dysfunction.

3. Dark brown or dark purple: for patients with chronic heart failure, tissue anoxia and a long-term decrease in the adrenal cortex can cause darkening skin color. Blue-violet color in the skin and mucosa of the four members may also result from cardiac anoxia.

How to prevent cardiovascular disease in patients with renal failure?

A point to remember is that medical treatment which prevents other kidney damage may reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. In this way, not only the kidneys can be protected against further damage, but also the risks of life can be reduced.
